ABOUT US
"A group of artists assimilated with the aim of de-assimilating - at least a little."
The Théâtre DesAssimilés is a company created in 2018 to bring French-language theatre to Halifax audiences. Meaning that we want to be able to make the world of francophone theatre accessible to both French-speaking and English-speaking audiences, as well as to promote the growth of the French-language artists in Nova Scotia.
The company was founded by Zoë Comeau with the help of Olivier Blais and Marianne Labrie. The company's first production was Eugene Ionesco's Les Chaises. However, we do not just present plays. The Théâtre DesAssimilés gives improvisation workshops twice a month (1 workshop for 18+ year olds and 1 workshop for all ages) and a bilingual improvisation show every two months.
